I love meeses to pieces!

Hmmmm! Looks like my goal to stamp more this summer has taken a back seat to sleeping in. I've been quite the bum this week. Actually, truth be told, I've been trying to get my house whipped back into shape. It's amazing just how things pile up when there is one adult child and two teenagers in the house and both mom and dad work full time. I've been lost in laundry land for the last three days and thought for sure I was gonna be sucked into some strange vortex of dirty shirts and towels never to return again. Thankfully, I saw a small glimmer of light today and headed for it and found my way out! Whew!!!! That was a close one!!!!

My reward for such hard work was a little stamp time in my stamp cave (Sure wish I could get sucked into that vortex and stay there)! I really went in there to clean up but we all know how that goes. You move this scrap here, start to put away that punch that's been sitting there and before you know it, you're crafting and not cleaning. That's exactly what happened and now I'm sitting her blogging the results.

A dear friend sent me this cute little house mouse image a while back and I had already colored it and put it away for future use. I do that alot. Anyway, it sure made it easy to throw this card together.

I colored the image using my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol an then added Glossy Accents to the drops of water and the puddle.

I've noticed quite a few card designers that I follow not only do their card fronts, but they also do the insides as well so I thought I would give it a try. Here is what I came up with for the inside:
Me likey! I could get used to this. The only problem I can see with this is reigning myself in. I kept chanting "less is more, less is more". I really wanted to add more but I was a good girl and stopped.

I tried to get a closeup of the water to show you just how nice it looks but it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to! Here's my attempt at a closeup shot:

I think I need to take some photography classes or get a better camera but that's gonna have to be somewhere in the future.

Thanks for listening to all my chatter. It's late and I tend to ramble when I stay up past my bedtime. Y'all have a great day! Happy Stamping and TTFN!

Hugs, Becky
