IT'S TIME, IT'S TIME!!!!

Are you as excited as I am?  

I absolutely love our annual Christmas In July at Catch The Bug, don't you?!!  It's filled with fun challenges, great prizes and loads of fabulous Bugaboo  inspired projects.  The best part is you will be able to check off some of those Christmas cards or projects from your to do list! You can never start too early on Christmas!

 So let's get this party started with the big, jolly guy himself!

Here is my Santa card featuring Bugaboo Stamps AKV Santa-presents.

Keeping it kind of simple on this one.  I colored the image using a combination of Copics and PSE 12 , then added the snowflake embossed side strips just to punch it up a bit. I still felt like it needed a little something more, so I added the snowflakes and ribbon.  Still simple but fun. 

Now  it's time to head on to Billie's blog, the next stop along the hop.

Christmas In July Day Two

Did you enjoy our Christmas In July kick off yesterday!  Don't worry if you missed it, you have all week to participate and what a fun week it's gonna be!  All the fun details can be found here at the Catch The Bug blog, but for now it's time for me to share today's challenge with you.

Sunday's are sketch challenges at Catch The Bug and since Christmas is all about traditions we're keeping with our tradition (said in a Fiddler On The Roof, sing songy voice) and doing a sketch challenge.

Lot's of layers and detail on this card.  I colored the image using Copic markers and created a wintry scene with lots of punched snowflakes and glittering gems.

You know you've seen them.  You may even own one or two!  You know......those ugly Christmas sweaters?!!!  Well, that's what today's Holiday Chaos challenge at Catch The Bug is all about.  

Create a Funny card using someone's Ugly Sweater below - 

Dad's Ugly Sweater - Use Blue, Green & Gold + Santa

Mom's Ugly Sweater - Use Red, Green & Yellow + an Angel

Hubby's Ugly Sweater - Use Red, Blue & Cream+ a Reindeer  

My Ugly Sweater - Use Red, Silver & Green + a Snowman

Kiddo's Ugly Sweater - Use Yellow, Blue, Green & Red + a Teddy Bear

I went with Hubby's Ugly Sweater and featured Bugaboo Stamps Rudolph Candy Cane to make my Ugly Sweater creation.

This was so much fun!  I think I'll be making more of these!  I can think of a few friends who would love them.

I had a little fun with this one and went with some non traditional Christmas colors!  I just couldn't help myself.  It all started with the scarf on this adorable Bugaboo Stamps image.  I just thought Snowman Patches would look cool in pinks and yellows.  After that it just took on a life of it's own.  I like it and hope that you do too!  LOL

Stella Says Sketch-Let It Snow

It's time for this weeks Stella Says Sketch at Catch The Bug and I have a card with a wintery theme for it.  Today I'm featuring Bugaboo Stamps Snowman Patches and paper piecing.

I colored him using copic markers and paper pieced his hat, scarf and patches using Pebbles Let Freedom Ring papers.  This snowman  sparkles from head to toe with glitter.  Using my cricut and George cart I created the Snow sentiment and using Print Shop I created the Let It sentiment.  Some dry embossed snowflakes and twine add the finishing touches.

HO HO HO It's Challenge Time

At Catch The Bug and it's a Bingo challenge.  Pick three in a row from the image above and make a card using those three items to play along.  I used Bugaboo Stamps fun Santa Stocking and came up with cute card.

I colored the image using copic markers.  I kept everything else pretty simple.  Just a little glossy accents and glitter for pizzazz and an embossed border plus a little Ho Ho Ho sentiment, and I was done.

Bearing you the joy of Christmas

Morning!!  We're getting closer and closer to Christmas and I've been cranking out a few cards for the season.

Today I've made this cute card featuring  Bugaboo Stamps New Release image, Teddy Presents!

I colored the image using a combination of watercolor pencils and copic markers.  The paper is from Recollections Sugar Plums pack and I used it to paper piece the package.  Some glossy accents, dry embossing, sentiment tags and ribbon added the finishing touches.

Snowy Holiday Wishes

It's time for an Oldie But Goodie at Catch The Bug and I thought a nice snowy image would get me thinking of cold weather and maybe get me in the Christmas spirit.  We've been experiencing temps in the 80's here in Texas.  Yes, you read that right!  It's December for goodness sake!!!  Now, I am not a fan of freezing temps, and I hope when they finally get here they don't stay long, but it would be nice if it cooled down enough to light a fire in the fireplace and break out the hot cocoa.  I'm hoping this little card featuring Bugaboo Stamps Winter Birds-Scarf will get me in the Christmas mood and possibly bring on some wintry weather.

I colored the image using a combination of copics and prismacolor pencils.  I created the die cut snowflake in the background with my cricut and graphically speaking cart.  I then embossed it using my cuttlebug and sledding folder.  The papers are from recollections Basics paper pack.  I gave the snowy branch some sparkle with glossy accents and glitter.
