Happy New Year!

It's out with the old and in with the new and we're ringing in the new year with a New Release image from Bugaboo Stamps.  This "cool" new image is Snowman Topper Star and I made this fun Thank You card for one of my students.  All I had to do was add the sentiment and it made the perfect thank you card!!!!

Oldie But Goodie Thursday

A little bird told me it was time for this weeks Oldie But Goodie at Bugaboo Stamps

I love this image from the Spring Bird collection because it's just so stinkin cute, it's easy to watercolor and it transports me away from  the heat to a nice spring day!  Which we could sure use!  We still haven't made it out of the 100's yet!  This has been one HOT summer and I'm saying something I thought I would never say.  I'm looking forward to a little colder climate.  It's on it's way but until it gets here, I'll just have to keep creating cards to distract me from the heat!

I printed this little cutie on Fabriano watercolor paper and colored it using watercolor pencils.  I paired it with red, turquoise and orange card stock from Stampin Up.  The designer paper is from my stock pile of scraps.  To add the finishing touches I added a few punched flowers, ribbon and a sentiment from the dollar bins at Michaels.

It's New Release Time-Bugaboo Stamps

Good morning my stamping and crafting friends!  Happy Tuesday to you!!!  It's time for this weeks NEW RELEASE at Bugaboo Stamps and Jodie has just the ticket for what ails you.  The team at Catch The Bug has been busy cranking out some awesome cards with the new images.  Images that make the perfect Thank You cards for someone in the medical profession.  I chose to use the super cute Nurse & Child image for my card.

Nurse & Child

I printed the image on white card stock and colored it using copic markers. The designer paper is from Nana's Nursery Baby Boy and Teal Blanket from Around The Block.  I continued the medical theme with some stitching along the sides, some doodled heart lines and punched hearts.  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps and is part of the Help For Katie #1 set.

Be sure to stop by Bugaboo Stamps and check out the NEW images and all the great sales going on!

Other challenges:
The Pink Elephant-Stitching

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

I Need A Hero

Don't we all?!!! Today's card was made with just that thought in mind. I think of the brave men and women of the Armed Forces when I think of hero. Being a former military wife myself, I know the sacrifice that they and their families make every day to protect our freedom and this is my shout out to them.
This is the free image I earned by participating in the weekly challenges at Hambo Hoedown.  You can find the details here.  This week's challenge is a layout challenge.

I colored the image using Copic markers and then cut it out and placed it on the oval panel I cut using my Nestabilities.

For the blue background I embossed it using a Fiskars embossing plate and my cuttlebug.  I then inked it up with Versamark and dusted on some gold Pearl Ex powder.

To make the stars I used my Cricut and George cart and then added glossy accents  I also added glossy accents to the medal.  Thats pretty much it.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  TTFN

Hugs, Becky
