Oh, oh, oh it's magic......

I know that my blogging friends probably thought I was missing in action and I hope y'all didn't send out a search party. I was here all along. I was just spending time with my husband getting things checked off my honey do list. Saturday we spent the better part of the day just hanging out at the local Home Depot. We came home with a closet organizing system for the girls room. So now you know what happened with the remainder of that day. Sunday was the garage!!!! Here's an interesting little tid bit. If you don't keep a lot of junk in your garage, you can put a car in there. LOL

Yesterday, I finally got some stamping time. I checked the challenge on SCS and it was posted, and what a challenge is was. Have you seen those magic cards that have a tab at the top and when you pull it out it magically adds color to the image. Well that was the challenge. At first I didn't think I could play along. The directions required a stamp-a-ma-jig. One of the many tools that I don't currently have. That tool was very important because placement is very important to
pull this one off.
After scratching my head and putting on my thinking cap, I figured out what to do. I used my computer and some artwork that I had drawn to make the card. I printed the image on paper first. Then I taped the piece of CS that was to be the sliding portion, over the image and ran it back through the printer being careful to load it with the paper going in the right direction. I repeated this process with the acetate. The only thing left now was to assemble.
I water colored the image using my reinkers and a fine-tipped paint brush. My rectangular coluzzle was used to make the window. I added some piercing along the bottom and also some flowers with gem brads. It still needed something else so I added the ribbon bow at the top. Their is also a jewel on the bow on the top of the cake. Not too bad for my first magic card.

Stamps: Sincere Salutations
Paper: Cool Carribean, Pixie Pink, White, Acetate
Inks, Cool Carribean, Pixie Pink, Black Stazon, Green Galore
Accessories: Ribbon. Brads, Piercing tool, Gem, Coluzzle (rectangle)
