I got some good sleep last night and here I am posting the other card as promised. This card fit two of the Dirty Dare challenges. JeanneS's paper piecing and leslierich's outside the box. I've been wanting to get started on my Christmas cards because it takes me forever to decide on a design. I pulled out this cute stamp that I bought last year from Whipper Snapper stamps. I stamped the image and cut out the side with the hat because I wanted to stamp flourishes on the BG to mimic blowing snow. The image was colored using my Prisma color pencils and Gamsol and then matted in Paisley BG paper that I already had on my desk and Close To Cocoa. I stamped the image again on the same Paisley BG paper. I cut out the scarf, hat band and beanie and glued them over my main image. I then used some liquid applique on the pom pom and rim of the beanie and heated it with my embossing gun. The swirls were stamped on Cool Carribean first using white Pigment Ink and then right next to it in Cool Carribean. It gives it a shadowing effect. I added ribbon along one side and accented it with these cute little snowflake buttons I had. Made a tag outlined in Dazzling Diamond and there you have it. I think I have found a winner for my Christmas cards. What do you think?
