Paper Roses

What a great way to start a Sunday morning post! I love this scripture don't you?!!! There is such power in it!

I can't believe how early I'm up this morning! I haven't been up this early all summer! All well, since I'm the only one up and the house is so quiet, what better time to post a new card?!!

I was checking out this cool tutorial paper roses on Tim Holtz' site and couldn't wait to try them myself. While mine are not as good as his, they're still really nice!

Here's a closeup of them.

For the big rose in the center, I started with blush cardstock and sponged on chocolate. The smaller roses coming down the side were blush also but I sponged cranberry on them. The smaller buds started out white and I sponged cranberry on them as well.

I paired them with this cool sentiment that was a free digi download from Deedee's digis.

The ribbon I used was a cream color but I dyed it cranberry to match the rest of the card.

That's all the crafty stuff I have for today. Now for a movie recommendation.

We went to see "Dispicable Me" yesterday and loved it! It was a little slow going at first but once the laughs started they never stopped! That's all I'm gonna say. No spoilers!!!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN

Hug, Becky
