Gate Fold Sympathy Card

In the last three weeks, I have had a great need for Sympathy cards. Three to be exact! Can you believe that? I struggle with Sympathy cards because the fact that we have need for them at all just makes me sad. I came up with a gate fold card design yesterday that I really like and will use to make more later today. I wanted to use up the scraps of Basic Grey Infuse paper that I had on my desk. This is what I came up with!

Card closed.
Card open.

I stamped the image using Old Olive, Real Rust and Chocolate Chip. It needed a little something to make it pop and I remembered that I had seen a card on Julie's blog that used Liquid Applique to make flowers. Thanks for the tip Julie. It's just what it needed.
The card stock is River Rock. Sponging is done with Chocolate Chip. I used the Giga Scallop Punch for the circle. I used my Cuttlebug and Flower EF and Corner Punch for the panel behind the circle. The Word Window Punch and brads were used to make the buckle. I also used my ribbon punch to make the slots for the latch.

I am off to Colonial Days with my son. Should be fun! I get to help make soap.
Have a great day!
