Leaf prints

I love fall and the turning of the leaves. It's my favorite season of the year. While the leaves have not begun their transformation here yet, I know that it is coming. Soon the air will become crisp and cool, the mosquitoes will be gone and I will enjoy sitting outside chatting with my neighbors and listening to the nearby school band practice. I just love this time of year.
As a tribute to fall I have tried my hand at leaf prints. It was one of the VSN challenges on SCS. I don't know why I haven't done this before. It is so easy and looks so nice.

I used my spectrum ink pad and inked up the leaf using my brayer and then applied it to CS using my brayer so that it gave a ghosting effect. I then inked the leaf again using Elegant Eggplant and this time stamped it in the ghosted area. I decided that I wanted to give it a glistening effect so I embossed the whole image with UTEE. I used my bone folder along the edges to distress it a little. I added this ribbon that I had found at my LSS. This is what I came up with. Sure looks like fall to me!
Recipe

Paper: White, Elegant Eggplant
Inks: Spectrum Ink Pad-Taffy (retired), Elegant Eggplant, Versamark

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
