By Lori Designs challenge 8

Good morning!  I have a few things to be excited about today but I'll share the stamping stuff first.

A couple of weeks ago, the card I made for the weekly By Lori Designs challenge was chosen as the top lollipop of the week.  With that win comes a cool badge to be displayed on my blog and chance to guest design on one of their upcoming challenges.  Well, today is that day.  Yippee!  Here are the colors for this weeks challenge
Another one of the perks to winning the challenge was the choice of a new image.  I've been trying to make more masculine cards so I chose this uber cute Lollipop Ethan image and since the colors this week are blues and greens, I thought he would be the perfect choice for my card.
I started my card by printing the image on white card stock and also on plaid designer paper and then paper piecing the camp shirt.  The dp was originally yellow and blue but I colored it with my green galore marker from stampin up to match the challenge  colors.  The rest of the Ethan image was colored using prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's All About U set (retired).

We'd love for you to join us in this weeks challenge.  Just make a card using the colors above and link it back to the By Lori Designs site by Wednesday 12 midnight.  It's that easy and you have the chance to be named the"Top Lollipop" for the week.

That's the stamping stuff, now the personal stuff.  Can anyone say, "Spring Break"?!!!!   Yeah baby!  Next week is spring break and I can't wait.  A whole week of not getting up before the sun rises, sitting on the banks fishing or just dangling my feet in the water, and hanging out with my favorite people in the world  is gonna be awesome.  I'll miss my stamping friends, but I'll be back online the week after next.   I have a few posts set for autopost and fingers crossed, nothing will go wrong with blogger and they will post but I won't be able to check on them.  It's gonna be a time to focus on family and nothing else so no internet.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Hugs, Becky

What fun to choose like that! Ethan is darling. I really like the idea of paper piecing the shirt. Thanks for the idea. suekimmet@gmail.com siskiyousue.blogspot.com

Fun card, it looks like a half pipe with the bg, nicely done. Hope you had a great spring break. Ours isn't for another week away... I am excited for it also.
