My first Verve card

I have a swap to go to the end of the month and wanted some new stamps for it. I had this picture in my head of what I wanted, I just had to search for the perfect stamp. I found it while browsing around the Verve site. It's a set called Floral Whimsey and I love it. So today I am sharing with you the design of the card I'm taking to the swap. It'll be a little different because I am still waiting for my paper from Stampin Up, (I'll be using Kiwi Kiss instead of the green used here and the ribbon is going to be different) but I just wanted to get the design on paper to see if it would be something I would be proud to take.

The oval shape and marquee shape were cut using my Cricut and George and Graphically Speaking cart(respective order). The green panel was stamp embossed using my Cuttlebug and Argyle folder. The flowers were colored using a Copic marker and the border was made using my Threading Water Punch. I added the punched butterflies with Glossy Accents on them as an afterthought, but really love the dimension they give.

I hope the ladies at the swap like it. I always enjoy this swap and come home with some fantastic swap cards. It's been over a year since I went to the last one and I'm really looking forward to it! I gotta get a move on though. Now that I have the design, I need to get them all cut and bagged to go. I have two weeks so as long as nothing comes up, I should be fine.

Switching gears here, did any of you Grey's fans watch the seasone finale. Wow! I was surprised. I'm not gonna give anything away here just in case you haven't seen it yet, but wow!

I'm gonna head off now. I have a couple of design cards I need to get cracking on. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by. TTFN

wow Becky, that is so beautiful. I haven't even started on my design but I am thinking of borrowing some cricut carts to help me out with cutting so much. I can't wait to make your card. Kim stampinscrapnewbie in Plano.

I love your card and colors -- that gives me an idea, now to find the time.
yes, I watched Grey's and I was shocked. I must admit I had heard rumors, but I didn't think anything was happening to him (wink, wink). Now, I can't wait to see how they start out the season.
