Monday at the Cafe #3 Pink Cupcake

Hi and welcome to today's Monday At The Cafe post. I think your gonna like what you see.


I've been in a pink mood lately have you noticed? I think it has to do with spring and all the flowers in bloom around here. In honor of my new pink mood, today's card is All About Cupcakes. Pink cupcakes that is, or at least pink dots on cupcakes.

Now pink isn't my favorite color, but pair it with brown and it runs a close second. It's a fantastic color combination.

The cupcake image is from The Cutting Cafe's All About Cupcakes(one of my all time faves).

I printed the cupcake image on white card stock and designer paper and then paper pieced the dp top using dimentional dots to add some depth. The white panel behind the cupcake was cut with my Cricut and Mini Mono Cart and then embossed with my Cuttlebug and Hearts Folder. The scalloped backgrounds were also cut with the Cricut and same cart. I couldn't resist adding a ribbon and scallop border and the Primas with brads. I didn't add a sentiment because I'm not sure what I want this card to say yet. It sure is cute, though.

Stamping tip: keep oval and circle shaped stamped sentiments all ready to go just for that moment when you need a card. That way you have the card already but it's not dedicated to a specific occasion.

I gotta scoot on outta here. I had a busy weekend and I'm really tired tonight.
