Fun and Easy cards

Oh my goodness! What an exciting evening we've had here. We had severe weather predicted for this evening but that's pretty much the norm for this area so I wasn't really concerned. I was hanging out in my stamp room, making the two cards I'm posting and just putting the finishing touches on the last one when the sirens went off sounding a tornado warning.

Don't worry! They did spot tornadic rotation, but it was quite a ways from us and fizzled out as quickly as it started. It was just kinda crazy in the first moments cause we had no idea how close it was and had to turn the television on to find out where it was and we weren't having much luck finding it on the t.v. To top it off my son was panicking (he always panics).

Things finally settled down so I headed back to my card. Just had to glue on the letters and take pics. So here they are for you to look at.

Yesterday I was looking around on SCS and came across a whole gallery dedicated to clean and simple cards and just have to give it a try. It is very hard for me to do clean and simple but I'm trying to step outside my box this year.

I embossed the oval with my nesties and stamped the bird image with brilliance graphite and colored them with Copics. I just added ribbon for color and sentiment and called it done. I think I could get used to this.

I loved making those circle flowers so much the other day that I had to make another card with them. I used this week's layout on Card Positioning Systems and this one would have come together in about ten minutes except for the time out I had to take.

I'm still playing with my So so sweet papers. I love plaid and thought it would make a great backdrop for the flower. The white card stock was embossed using my Fiskars embossing plates and my cuttlebug.

That's all I have for today. It's getting late and I need to head off to bed. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for this week's Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge. It's a fun one!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN
