Hi all! Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a great week. I added three shifts to my work week so I'm now working full time. Great for the pocket book but not so great for my blogging.
Don't worry! I'll get the hang of it in no time.
I did get the chance to do some stamping this weekend but am just getting around to posting.
I wanted to share the card I made for my MIL's birthday. She doesn't have a computer, let along blog, so I know it's safe to post it here even though she hasn't received it yet.
I used last week's layout from CPS but added a few extras. I am channeling a little bit of Jessie Rone on this card with the spiral clip and ribbon. She's a good friend and I just love her style and couldn't resist. It just needed that extra touch.
I started by stamping "garden poems" (Penny Black) on kraft cs in brilliance graphite black and heat embossing with black ep. I colored the image with my copics and then sponged white pigment ink around the edges. The papers are from my classic coordinating prints mat pack(DCWV). Butterflies (Martha Stewart punch) are embellished with black crystal stickers (Elements). I embossed half of the background with birds and swirls ef and also sponged the edges. Ovals were cut with my cricut and george cart. Other embellies are offray ribbon, swirl clip and brads.
She is gonna love this for sure.
That's it for today. Make sure to stop in tomorrow to check out this week's Sketches card.
Have a great evening! Hugs to you all! TTFN
