Just hear those sleighbells ring-a-ling.........

Ting ting ting-a-ling too. It's time for another Christmas card, and this one is for the featured stamper challenge over on SCS. Today's featured stamper is kendra and I had loads of fun looking around her wonderful gallery before deciding on this card to case. I loved that it was a shaker card and the shaker was filled with snow.

Now the rules for this challenge are that you copy their card but change some elements. I chose to go with a red card and add snowflakes and dry embossing. I also added some ribbon and a few more layers. I was gonna keep the sentiment the same, but I had a little boo boo while stamping it and didn't want to have to start all over. I just added an oval with some silver embossing on the edges. Problem solved.

I also added the scalloped edge using my new Threading Water Punch that I picked up at my LSS. I had a $20 credit since I'm such a good customer, and they had them in stock. What a lucky find.

I stamped the snowflakes in Real Red and Silver Pigment ink and embossed the silver snowflakes with EP. I then ran it through my cuttlebug using my snowflake EF. The shaker was made using my circle and scallop punch. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but there is a silver snowflake inside center. For the snow I used artificial iridescent snow that I found at HL last year. The final touch was the embellished snowflake I picked up at Target.

Hope you're enjoying all the Christmas cards and lyrics and they inspire you to be creative. Have a great weekend.
