Sketch #59

It's Thursday and it's time for a {Sketches} card, but first a few announcements. We've had a lot of cool things going on over at the site. The new design team members were announced and I am so excited about the list of names. I don't have links for all their sites yet, but here is a list of all the new team members. Carol Houghton, Deborah Anton, Jessica Thompson, Judith Rozema, Krista Baxter, Riley Fitzgerald, Stacy Morgan. Welcome to the team!

Tamara will also be starting a Scrapping Recipe Challenge on Tuesdays and she has a whole other team for that. Some of the names on this list you may recognize and others are new.

Here is our Recipe Design Team Members: Brenda Becknell, Carol Sheetz, Dolores Cancel, Edleen Maryam, Kathleen Hopperstad, Kristin Tweedale, Linda Hockaday, Lori Tecler, Suzy Tyler, Trudi Freeberg. You can check out all the deets over on the Sketches blog.

There are a few team members leaving us and I'm so sad to see them go. Make sure to show them some inky love as this is their last card design with Sketches. Alaine, Dawn, Mel, and my good friend Tammy, I wish you the best of luck and will miss your creative interpretations.

I told you there was a lot going on. Whew! Isn't it exciting? But wait, there's more! We still have this weeks design for you try and here it is:

We would love for you to do the sketch with us and who knows, you could be our next guest designer. Just leave Tamara a comment on her blog with a link to your card and you may picked to be featured.

Here is my take on this week's challenge:

I know, it's very colorful but isn't it cute? It's those bold brights against the white that just make the colors *POP*. The punched squares were layered with dimentionals. The candles were stamped in brilliance graphite black and colored with markers (SU), then covered with crystal stickles. I made the border strip with my slit punch and hole punch. That fun ribbon is from American Crafts and was the inspiration. Fun stuff, huh?

Enough about cards and designers and stuff. Now onto what you really came here for. ME!!!! *giggle*

I got the job I wanted!!!!! Starting next week, I will be a workin girl again. Just wanted to share that with y'all.

So glad you stopped by! I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day! TTFN
