Life's little challenges...stamping challenges that is

Oh my goodness! I can't believe it's 3 in the morning and I'm sitting at my computer instead of sleeping. I really need to get back to the gym. It's been 5 days since my last workout and I have no problems sleeping after it, if anything I have problems staying awake. LOL

So glad Emily posted the color challenge already so I could stamp. Actually, I got a couple of projects done today. I got my stamp room cleaned up and that always spurs me to be creative. Here are the cards and the box I did today.

This first one was for the technique challenge on SCS. What a fun challenge. I love these little acetate boxes, don't you? I filled mine with Primas.

This one is for the color challenge on SCS. I love the richness of these colors. I had a happy accident while playing around stamping today. I was making a paper flower and wanted to add some dimension by using my marker to add some shading. I wanted to blend out the lines from my marker so I spritzed the flower and then blotted it and guess what I found out. This is a nice way to make a watercolor flower. Check out the flowers in the grid background. That's how they were made. Pretty cool, huh?

This last card is a card I started working on a while back. I think it was for a challenge on Sharon's blog, but I'm not sure. Anyway, when I cleaned off my desk, can you guess what I found lurking under my papers. Yep, this card, just waiting to be finished. I just had to add the ribbon and flowers and the sentiment and it was done. You can't see in this picture, but the silhouette flowers in the background really shimmer. They were made by stamping the image and then dotting the flowers with elmers glue and then sprinkling Pearl Ex powder over it and letting it dry then wiping it off. Here is a close up.

Isn't that pretty?

As you can see, I've had a very busy day stamping and I love it. I sure wish all my days could go that way.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about the cards feel free to email me. TTFN

I love both of these. Your colors are sensational. I am a real sucker for stick pins too. You'll see if you ever visit my blog. Lovely color combinations and the square card is always a great presentation.
