It's late and I can't sleep so I decided to blog. I really should be tired since I had to get up at the b*** crack of dawn and drive to Burleson with my DD#1. She had to take a college entrance test and that was the only place she could take it and she didn't want to go by herself. What's a mom to do?
What do you say does that have to do with stamping. Well, I had a few hours to kill so I spent about an hour and a half hanging out at Michaels looking around. I know, I know, such a tragedy. LOL
While I was wandering around the store I came across some Iced Got Flowers Primas in pink and orange. I just had to have them (or at least that's what I told the hubby)! Of course I got the eye roll but surprisingly no comment! Hmmmm, I really should try that one more often!
Anyway, I couldn't wait to get home and open them up and start creating. They inspired me to make two cards. One with the flowers and the other just using the colors for inspiration. Of course, the one with the flowers is for this weeks Sketches and I can't show you it yet but I can show you the other one. Feast your eyes on this cutie petutie. *Warning* It's bright!
The only stamping on this card was the sentiment (Studio G) on the banner. I pulled out my Nana's Kids papers and cut out this flower square and just went from there. I used scrap pieces of designer papers for the backgrounds. The scallop square(Pumpkin) was cut using my Cricut and Mini Mono Cartridge. I pulled out my sewing machine and did some zig zag stitches on the pink DP. When it was all assembled, I felt like it needed a little something else, so I added the buttons as photo corners and accents. I'm really pleased with the results. Whaddya think?
Well, it's now 1:30 AM and I have to take my mom to the Oncologist for blood work at 8:30, so I better haul my keester to bed! It's been great chattin with y'all!
Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN
