Just as soon as I saw her sketch, this card flashed in my mind. I originally pictured a stamped butterfly but then while I was playing around with my ribbon, I got the nutty idea to make it 3-D.
To make this cutie, I used a flower pin and weaved it through the ribbon and tulle, then I heated the tulle with my heat gun to make it crinkle. Add some wire antennaes and some rhinestones for the body and you have a 3-D butterfly.
The polka dots on the background were made using a pencil eraser. Here is the final result.
Stamps: Sentiment (Inkadinkado). Papers: White(GP) Black textured. Inks: Basic Black. Accessories: Ribbon, Flower Pin, Stick-on rhinestones, Tulle, Fiskars Circle Template & cutter, Marker.
Things are still a little crazy around my house. My brother and his family are here from Shreveport, so I have a housefull.
I've been busy stamping when I can, but have very little battery left on my camera and haven't been able to find my charger so I'm not sure how soon I'll get them posted. I sure hope I didn't leave it in Washington. I'm almost positive I didn't.
I hope you get a chance to check out Tamara's blog and play along. If you do, be sure to post a link to it on her page so we can check it out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! TTFN
