I'm finally home

Oh my goodness! What an ordeal this whole thing has been. After I posted my last update, my MIL started experiencing chest pains again. She wound up back in Sacred Heart Hospital and had a seriously large blood clot on her lung going from the right side of her pulmonary artery all the way over into her left lung. They had quite a time getting her stabilized. We have spent the last week and a half riding a roller coaster of emotions and keeping constant vigil at her side. We thought that she had turned a corner on Friday and so Saturday we started back to Texas. We got as far as Butte, Montana and got a phone call saying she might have to have surgery so we turned around and went back. Thank goodness, she didn't have to have surgery, but she did develop pneumonia in her left lung. After meeting with all her doctors on Monday, we were reassured that she was stable and decided since there were several other family members there it was safe for us to head home. We left yesterday morning and drove straight through and arrived home today at 5:00 pm. We are all physically and mentally exhausted, but it is so good to be home. She is still in the hospital and will be discharged either tomorrow or Friday. They will have to drive her to Phoenix, where her doctor's are, because she can't fly for six weeks(she was visiting her sister in Lewiston when all this happened). Please say a prayer for her safe travel. Thank you all!

As soon as I am rested, I will get back to stamping and posting again. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. TTFN
