Make my mojo a tole card

Happy April Fool's Day!!! It's been kind of dissappointing for April Fools. Not one of my kids has tried to pull anything on me today. Can you believe that? I was all geared up for it too! Wouldn't you know it.

I have a really cute and colorful card to show you all today. I combined the Technique Challenge on SCS and Julee's Mojo Monday. I had my turtle with balloons stamp sitting on my desk (thanks Alana) and thought he would be perfect for the Tole technique. I was right! He looks really cute all popped out, but don't take my word for it. See for yourself!
I started by stamping the turtle (Inky Antics) three times on white cs and coloring the back image completely and the shell, right legs and balloon for the second layer and the flower and right legs for the third. I then cut them all out and popped each layer up using dimentionals.
The image is colored using my SU markers. The cs is Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise , Black all from Stampin Up. The DP is from my scrap drawer and I'm not sure of the name or company, but if you recognize it just let me know and I'll post it here.
The sentiment is from SU's Let's Party. I cuttlebugged the card stock with my HB embossing folder and then used the DTP method with my celery and turquoise ink pads to bring out the embossing. I then added the ribbon, big flower, stickles and doodles just to finish it off. I just love all the fun, festive colors, don't you?

I am still playing catch up with all my blog hopping. Things are getting busy around here. I've been trying to update my address book so when our daughters graduation announcements arrive we can get them cranked out. We're also in the process of applying for Scholarships and financial assistance for tuition since she was accepted (Whoo hoo!) to the college she wanted. We're so excited for her and at the same time sad. She will be our first to leave the nest. It seems like yesterday, she was learning to walk and talk and now she'll be heading out into the world.

Well, I think I've dribbled on long enough now! I'll just say goodbye for now and hope your day is filled with stamping. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN

Wow, this is CUTE Becky! I love it! Such a cute image! Such a happy card!

Congratulations to your daughter on her college acceptance! Geez, I can't even handle my daughter being away for two nights, I cannot imagine college! Egads! How exciting though!

P.S. I just made my first penguin card. I can't post it yet, because I just mailed it to someone yesterday, and I want her to get it BEFORE I post it. You were my inspiration for my purchase!!

I adore this card. The colors are wonderful and I love how you combined all the layers to make the little guy pop! The embellishments are great, especially the flower in the images hand.
