Color challenge gone wrong!

I made the card on the left for last weeks color challenge on SCS only to discover when I went to upload it that I was off on one of the colors. I was supposed to use Orchid Opulence and used Almost Amethyst instead. So I went back and did almost the same card using the correct colors this time, only I changed the layout a little. There's a very subtle difference in the color! Both of the cards backgrounds were made using the same technique. I ran white CS through the cuttlebug using the flower folder. I then brayered on the purple and then brayered versamark over it and clear ep and then heat embossed it. I then sponged on the green and the parts that had been embossed resisted the green.
The image is from Imaganisce and is heat embossed using black pigment and black ep. The card on the right was colored with SU markers. I then added crystal effects. The card on the left was done the same except I added small primas that I dyed to match. I wasn't sure about these colors at first, but they really do look good together.

Recipe
Stamps: Loves Me-blossoms (Imaganisce)
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Certainly Celery, White.
Inks: Black Pigment Ink, Versamark.
Accessories: Primas, Ribbon, Brads, Crystal Effects, Ribbon Slide, Markers, Clear EP, Black EP.
Tools: Cuttlebug, EF, Piercer, Word Window Punch, Brayer.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi Becky!
Both cards are stunning! I love the layouts you used, and the embellies - especially the primas and the orange ribbon!

Both cards are really good but to be honest, I can't tell the difference between the colors--only the layouts, which are wonderful!

I like the way you used the embossing and crystal e to such a great impact both are nice and you're right there isn't much difference in the colors. They both look good to me.
