Think Pink

For a couple of days now I have had a empty juice container sitting on my desk just waiting to be altered. It's one of those plastic containers that the sugar free drink mixes come in. You know, the ones that have the individual packages of drink mix inside. Well, today I finally got the chance to play around with it.
I used the color challenge on SCS for my inspiration. The challenge was to use pink and make something for someone who has dealt with breast cancer.
At first I thought I would make a card for my sister and then I thought about my moms aid, Linda, at the assisted nursing facility. She found out she had breast cancer last year and had lumps removed from both breasts. She underwent radiation therapy and therefore knows exactly what my mom is going through and has been very attentive to my mom. Making sure she is comfortable and just giving her great care. I decided to alter the container and fill it with Hershey's Hugs and Kisses as a thank you for everything that she is doing. I will still make my sister a card, but I know that she would agree that Linda should be the recipient of this one.
I used DP from Daisy D and S.E.I. to cover the container. I cut the letters spelling out the word "hope" using my Fiskars template. Add ribbon and Primas and you have a lovely altered container just waiting to be filled with treats.
I used the same papers for the card but added Stampin Up's Choco Chip CS. I punched and sponged the edges of three flowers and stacked them to make the flower. The sentiment was stamped using my Snap Stamps. Add some piercing and ribbon and came up with this card. Isn't the chocolate and pink just yummy?
