Still Christmas

I got the chance to stamp again today so I made another card for the CPS challenge. I have been in the mood to make Christmas cards so I did another one for their Christmas In July. I was looking a through a paint technique (for walls) book today and ran across a technique that I thought would really look good on a card. It's called Jordan Almond Background. I am going to try and get my stamp area cleaned off later today and try my hand at a tutorial on the technique. I wish I had chosen darker blues, but I was afraid it wouldn't have the soft look I was going for. It was very hard to get a good picture and this is the best one. Here is the end product.

I embossed the snowflake on Glossy CS with my Versamark and UTEE and my heat tool. I then masked from the top left corner to the bottom right corner and sponged Soft Sky over the exposed portion. I then repositioned the mask from the top right to the bottom left and sponged Cool Caribbean over the exposed area, then repositioned the mask again from the bottom right to the top left and sponged Tempting Turquoise over the exposed area. I then wiped the image to take away any ink over the embossed area and then heat the image again and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds and then heat set. I think you may be able to figure out the rest so I 'll just post the recipe. I hope that wasn't too confusing.

Recipe-Stamps: Snowflakes and Greetings Galore (Stampin Up) Paper: White, Soft Sky, Glossy. Inks: Soft Sky, Cool Caribbean, Tempting Turquoise, Versamark. Accessories: Shrink Plastic, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Giga Scallop Punch, UTEE, Dazzling Diamonds, Jewel Brads, Dimentionals. Cording, Buttons
