Another card for my mom!

I spent the better part of the day with my mom today. She had to have an MRI this morning so I picked her up from the skilled nursing facility and off we went. She is so sweet and funny and I love having her around and miss her terribly so I decided that I would make her a card using today's color challenge.

The inspiration for this card came from a picture that was hanging on the wall of the imaging place. It had a lot of color blocking and I would have taken a picture to share with y'all, but my camera was sitting at home next to the computer(now that's not a good place for it, is it?). The colors were different, but the concept is the same.

I cut the panels first and embossed them with my Cuttlebug and then brayered ink over them. The rest is pretty simple so I won't bore you with the details. I goofed when I stamped the sentiment and didn't get it straight so I just covered it by stamping it repeatedly all over the bottom. I wanted to get it finished and take it to my mom, so I didn't have time to re stamp the main panel. Doesn't look too awful bad, does it?
I took it to her tonight and she loved it.

I really need to get a picture of all the cards that my SCS friends have sent her (note to self, put camera in purse). She has the prettiest wall in the whole facility. You all are the best!!!!

Recipe-Stamps: Watercolor Minis, All Year Cheer II. Paper: Old Olive, More Mustard, Bashful Blue, Basic Black, White. Inks: Olive, Mustard, Bashful, Black. Accessories: Primas, Brads, Cuttlebug, Textiles EF, Brayer
Happy Stamping and have a great day!
