He did the mash.....he did the monster mash.

Halloween is right around the corner and will be here before you know so it's a good time to get started on your Halloween cards.  You'll be glad to know that Bugaboo Stamps has a great New Release image that's perfect for them.  Check it out.

I added this cool background from PSE and used the PNG file and added it to the background.  I did a little distressing and added some Halloween themed papers to come up with this card.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Live, Love, Laugh and be happy.......

It's time for a New Release image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Would you look at that little darlin?  Isn't she adorable?!!!!!  I featured here on this "all occasion" card, but she would be perfect for just about anything from Thinking Of You cards to Birthday cards.  You decide.

I  colored the image using a combination of PSE 12 and Copics.

Freebie Friday

Good morning and how are you doing?  We enjoyed our summer vacation at Catch The Bug but it's time to get back on track with a Freebie Friday image for you to grab.  Would you look at these cute little pea pod babies?!!!!   They are adorable and make  for a great We're Having Twins birth announcement so that's exactly what I did here.

I colored them using a combination of PSE 12 and Copics.  The sentiment was created using PSE.  The main panel with the image is just one layer.

It was great getting back in the swing of things.  Be sure to go and grab your free image from Bugaboo Stamps!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  TTFN

Rock A Bye Baby

It's a baby blog hop surprise for Min!!!

Min is one of the coordinators for Catch The Bug and she puts in numerous hours helping our team to run smooth and she just happens to be pregnant with her first baby!!!  A baby girl as a matter of fact.  We thought it would be fun to surprise her with a BABY BLOG HOP before her little one arrives!

You should have arrived here from the talented Angela Pruisman's blog, Just Monkeying Around, but if you didn't and would like to join us on the hop, head on over to Catch The Bug to get started!

Angela Pruisman

Here is the card I made for Min featuring Bugaboo Stamps Boo Peeker Bottle

I colored the image using PSE 12 and added some depth using Copic markers.  I thought it would be cute to make a baby head band and use it as an accent on the card.  It's been a while since I did any crocheting, but this was pretty simple and will be useful.
Min and Glenn, I just want to say a big congratulations to the both of you!  This is a joyous event in your lives.  Before you know it you'll be asking each other, "what did we do before we had kids?".  They are a gift from God and I know that you will be great parents.  Being the mom of three grown children, my motherly advice I want to share with you is, take the time to sit and rock that baby.  The dishes, laundry and everyday stuff will always be there waiting for you, but babies grow so fast and before you know it your looking back, wondering where the time went.  My dear friend gave me the same advice when I was starting out and boy was she right.

Now it's time to head on over to the fabulously talented Billie Andersons blog, Ink On My Fingers.

Whose A Happy Camper?

You will be when you see the New Release image from Bugaboo Stamps.  He's  AKV Men Camping and he's got his gear on and he's ready to be yours!

Check out the card I made featuring him:

Using the PNG file, I copied this image onto an outdoor background using PSE 12 and then colored him using Copic markers.  This was the first time for me to try this technique and I have to tell you, my fingers thanked me.  No more cutting with those tiny scissors.

That's all I have for today.  Don't forget to check out the new release images at Bugaboo Stamps.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Challenge Time

Whew!  What a great time we had last week with all the challenges.  I had a very busy schedule this
week and took a little break from everything but I'm back this morning with a fun challenge for you.  It's a photo challenge, so let your creativity be inspired and take it wherever it wants.

Here is the photo:

And here is my all occasion card featuring one of Bugaboo Stamps new images, Bacon In The Sun.

Don't you just love that pig!  He looks so chill!

I colored him using Photoshop and then added some depth using my copic markers.  I kept the layout and details pretty clean and simple, letting him be the star of the show.

Now that I've shown you my interpretation, I would love to see yours!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

So let's get this party started with the big, jolly guy himself!

SHOW US YOUR SANTA'S

We're kicking off our celebration with a blog hop, but if you started at the beginning you already know that and came here from Angela's blog.
Angela Pruisman

If you just came here to check out my blog, and want to hop along, the best place to start is here at the beginning.

Here is my Santa card featuring Bugaboo Stamps AKV Santa-presents.

Keeping it kind of simple on this one.  I colored the image using a combination of Copics and PSE 12 , then added the snowflake embossed side strips just to punch it up a bit. I still felt like it needed a little something more, so I added the snowflakes and ribbon.  Still simple but fun.
Now  it's time to head on to Billie's blog, the next stop along the hop.

Don't forget to leave a comment here for a chance to win the image (or image of your choice if you have this one already) I used on my card and don't forget to tell your friends about all the fun and exciting challenges we're having this week.

Christmas In July Day Seven-Last Day

Oh the weather outside is frightful. but the Christmas In July challenges at Catch The Bug are so delightful!

Today is the last day for our annual Christmas In July celebration and I have had a ton of fun doing the challenges and showcasing some of the many wonderful Bugaboo Stamps Christmas images.  I hope you have had just as much fun doing the challenges with us.

Today is a treat because you get to get a free image.  Every friday, Jodie-the very generous owner and illustrator of Bugaboo Stamps, gives away a free image.  All you have to do is head over to Bugaboo Stamps and download it.  It's that easy!!

Today's Freebie Friday image is  JJ Merry Christmas and she's perfect for today's challenge!
The challenge is "Starts With A C" and since she's holding a candy cane in her hand, all you have to do is color her up and add her to your project!

I kept with the candy cane theme and kept everything red and white.  I colored the image using a combo of PSE 12 and Copic markers.  It's Christmas so I added lots of ribbon accents and some bling to make it more festive!

Y'all have left so many nice comments this week and I thank each and everyone of you that came by and showed your love and support for Bugaboo Stamps.  I will be randomly drawing a name from all those lovely comments tomorrow and will post it Sunday morning!

Thanks again for playing along!  Have an awesome weekend and take care!  Until next time!  TTFN

Christmas In July Day Six

Melekalikimaka is the thing to say on this bright Catch The Bug Christmas In July challenge day!

Okay so I really over did it on the song this time, just couldn't help myself.  You'll understand when you see the challenge for today.

It's a photo challenge and Bugaboo Stamps has this awesome set of Tropical Santas that are perfect for it.

I chose to feature Tropical Santa-Suntan but he got a little sunburned lying around in the hot sand and sun.  He really should have put on his sunblock.  I mean, seriously, he spends most of his time covered from head to toe in fur, he had to know he would get a nasty burn.  Lol

The bold colors were inspired by the colors of the flip flops, the embossed background was inspired by the sand.  I sponged on clouds to mimic the clouds in the photo.  I used a combination of PSE 12 and Copics to color the image. I think this is my favorite from the week.  It's just so much fun!
My sister would love this card.  She spent many years living in Hawaii and every year she would wish me a Melekalikimaka!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for our Freebie Friday image and our final CIJ challenge 2014.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Christmas In July Day 5

You better watch out, you better not pout. Santa Clause is coming to Catch The Bug for day five of our week long Christmas In July celebration!

Oh my goodness, this week has been so much fun! Y'all have left the nicest comments and have done some awesome work on the challenges.  We are so happy and thankful to have you join us!

Wednesdays at Catch The Bug are for humorous cards but we're adding a Bingo challenge to it as well.

Now, the closest I came to humor on my card was the Santa's laughing (I put on my thinking cap, but just didn't come up with anything funny.  So weird for me.)  Anyhow, here is my "humorous" card featuring Bugaboo Stamps Make It Snappy- Ho Ho Ho Squares.

My Bingo is in the third row down.  Embossing (snowflakes folder) Polka Dots and A Bow.
I colored the image using a combination of PSE12 and Copic markers.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for an Oldie But Goodie and a challenge.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Christmas In July Day Four

Over the river and through the woods to Catch The Bug's Christmas In July celebration we go!!!

Yep, we're still taking a break from the summer heat and celebrating Christmas In July!  I sure hope you are joining in on the fun!  If you're not, it's never too late and you could win some fabulous Bugaboo images.

Tuesday is New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps and you are gonna love the adorable image we are sharing with you today.  We are also doing a recipe challenge.  All you need for this challenge is a little kraft paper, a dash of embossing (wet or dry) add in a pinch of snowflake and you have it!

Here is my card featuring the oh so cute Mouse Ornaments:

I colored the image using a combination of PSE 12 and added dimension using Copic markers.  For the snowflakes I used my Snowflake embossing folder and a few punched snowflakes (SU).
Isn't that little mouse the cutest?!!!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for our Humor Me Wednesday challenge!  I hope you're having as much fun as I am.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Christmas In July Day Three

We are still celebrating Christmas In July at Catch The Bug.  I hope you are joining us in all the challenges and are having as much fun as we are.  I can't wait to see all the fabulousness that will be coming out of our week long celebration!

It's Monday which is traditionally Anything But A Card day  but we are adding a color inspiration twist to our creations.

I have a fun Christmas Home Decor treat to show you that was super easy to create.  I featured Bugaboo Stamps Snowman Topper in this frame I picked up at the Dollar Store.

I colored the image using a combo of PSE 12 and added highlights using Copic markers.  The snowflakes were die cut using the Cricut and Graphically Speaking cart.
Super simple to do and it will add some holiday fun to your Christmas decor.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for Bugaboo's new release image!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Christmas In July Day Two

Did you enjoy our Christmas In July kick off yesterday!  Don't worry if you missed it, you have all week to participate and what a fun week it's gonna be!  All the fun details can be found here at the Catch The Bug blog, but for now it's time for me to share today's challenge with you.

Sunday's are sketch challenges at Catch The Bug and since Christmas is all about traditions we're keeping with our tradition (said in a Fiddler On The Roof, sing songy voice) and doing a sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch:

and here is the card I created featuring Bugaboo Stamps AKV Winter Fairy-skates.

Lot's of layers and detail on this card.  I colored the image using Copic markers and created a wintry scene with lots of punched snowflakes and glittering gems.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow for another great challenge.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Sketch Challenge # 212

Good morning!  I hope you are having a great weekend and you're here to check out my card for the  current Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug.

I love sketch challenges cause most of the hard work is already done for me.   All I need to do is add the image and papers and I'm done.

I am a bird lover and was in a colorful mood when I made this card featuring Bugaboo Stamps Spring Bird-flower swing.  It just makes me smile and I think it would put a smile on the recipients face too.  Here is my card:

And here is the layout I used:

My card is 5.5 x 5.5 but it still works.

I printed the image on watercolor paper and used my watercolor pencils and aqua painter to color the image.

Hope you'll join us in the challenge!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN
