Creating Again!!!

Wow!  It's been forever since I have created a card!  Life got in the way, and I had to take a break, but I'm back and it feels so good!

First, let me catch you up on the few things that kept me away!

Our youngest daughter got married!

Our oldest daughter is now engaged and will be getting married next spring!

Our youngest, our son graduated from High School!

And in the midst of all that I was dealing with medical issues that turned out to be my gall bladder, which I had removed a little over a week ago!  Whew!  Fast forward to today!

Now that I have that all out of the way, here is the card I created using one of my many Bugaboo images and it's so appropriate because my blessings are too many to count!

Winter Bird Scarf
I love this little bird and wanted him to be a red bird!  I created the sentiment and back panel using Photoshop.

Challenge Time

Whew!  What a great time we had last week with all the challenges.  I had a very busy schedule this
week and took a little break from everything but I'm back this morning with a fun challenge for you.  It's a photo challenge, so let your creativity be inspired and take it wherever it wants.

Here is the photo:

And here is my all occasion card featuring one of Bugaboo Stamps new images, Bacon In The Sun.

Don't you just love that pig!  He looks so chill!

I colored him using Photoshop and then added some depth using my copic markers.  I kept the layout and details pretty clean and simple, letting him be the star of the show.

Now that I've shown you my interpretation, I would love to see yours!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Sunflowers-God's Smile

Good morning!  Sorry I've been MIA lately.  We are all moved in the new place but we are still waiting on our internet.  Looks like it will be on sometime around the 16th of July!  I can still get on the computer at the office, but I have to work within their time constraints so it makes it a little difficult.  So glad I worked ahead on some of my cards.  Speaking of cards, here is the card I made for today's Anything Goes challenge at Catch The Bug.

I was in a sunny mood when I made this card featuring Bugaboo Stamps Sunflower Stained Glass!  I love the look of stained glass, don't you?!!  I colored the image and added the sentiment using PSE 12.

Now it's your turn to join in on the fun!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Good Morning Sunshine

Have you missed the challenges at Catch The Bug?  I know I have!  The vacation was nice, but it's time to get things started up again.

Before I get to today's challenge, I wanted to show you this week's Freebie Friday image.  I don't have a card for it, but didn't want you to miss out on the image.

All you need to do, is head over to Bugaboo Stamps and download this image for free.

Now that that is taken care of, let's get to today's challenge.  It's a Bingo challenge and here are your choices:

I chose Bugaboo Image, Lace and Charm and featured Lady Bug Flower Pot for my card.

I absolutely LOVE ladybugs and especially this ladybug image and I had a lot of fun coloring it.  I used my copic markers and die cut it using standard circles.  I placed it on a lace doilie and a die cut lacey circle.  I used the colors from my image to decide my color combo, which by the way, is one of my favorites.  Makes me think of Disneyland and Mickey Mouse.

Now it's your turn to get creative.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words

Or so they say!  This one is worth one, hope.  As in hope you're having a great week, or whatever it is you're hoping for today.

I made this card for Sassy Cheryl's current Black & White Photo Look challenge. I used Better Than A Thousand Words from the Sassy Sally collection because I love this image and I thought it would look great as a black & white picture.  I used my photo editing program to give it the feel of an old picture and then colored the image using C1, C3 and C7 of my Copics.  I love the simplicity of this card but I really had to resist the urge to gussy it up and add a pop of color. All in all, I think I like it just the way it is!

I'm off to do some more creating.  I have a little more than a week left before school starts back up and I have to head back to work.  I want to squeeze in as much craftiness as I can.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Surf's Up

It's a bright shiny day and I wish I were sitting at the beach, sipping a nice cool drink, squishing the sand between my toes.  Alas, I'm not so I'll just have to console myself by making a fun beachy card.  It's Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug and I chose the "oh so cool" Poppi Penguin Surf image from Bugaboo Stamps for my card.

I colored the image using copic markers,  The fun papers are Trinity Paper Arts Surf  & Swim Lei and Echo Park Hello Summer Wide Stripes.  I made the flip flops using card stock and bakers twine.  The sentiment is from Studio G.  A little glossy accents on the glasses and I was done.

Enjoy Life

Summer is slipping away quickly and soon I'll be heading back to work but until then, I'm just going to enjoy every day I have left doing what I love.  You know what that means don't you?!!  Lots of card making and blog challenges.

That's exactly what I did today!  I popped over to Sassy Cheryl's blog to see what this weeks challenge was all about!  Yippee!  It's all about Polka Dots!  This is gonna be fun!

Now it's been really hot this week and I would love to be sitting in a float on the water so it was easy to decide which image I was gonna use for my card.  Sassy Sally In Her Inner Tube!  Here's my card.

I colored the image using my copic markers and sponged the clouds using sky blue ink.  The card stock is lime and sun textured from colorbok.  The designer papers are Echo Parks Hello Summer (bubbles & you've been flagged) and some of my CTMH stash (green stripes & polka dots).  Die cuts used were spellbinders standard circles & label one.  I fussy cut the flags, punched holes and threaded bakers twine to make the banner.

Howdy! Are Y'all Ready Fer A New Release?

Yer gonna love Bugaboo Stamps rootin tootin sharp shootin NEW RELEASE!  She's AKV Cowgirl and she'll have ya roped and tied before ya know what hit ya!!!

I colored the image using copic markers.  The designer papers are from my scrap pile.  I think the red and tan plaid is  from Mark's Finest Paper and the reddish brown paper is from MME.  Card stock is chocolate and kraft.  The accessories I used were my cuttlebug, oval spellbinder, paisley EF, square punch, twill and raffia.  I died the twill with my R39 copic and then drug it across my choco chip ink pad.  For a little added touch I traced the inside of the oval die with a black sharpie and then added the little x's  to make it look like barbed wire.  The sentiment was made using print shop and poster font.

Summer Fun & Friends

It's a great day today!  The weather is nice outside.  My youngest daughter is back home with us and I got to spend some time coloring.  I'm telling you, it doesn't get much better than that in my book!

Do you wanna see what I colored?  I hope you said yes cause I'm getting ready to show you!

It's Sassy Cheryl's Sassy Sally & Bella Head To The Beach (try saying that three times fast, lol)!  I picked it up in her shop today and couldn't wait to put some color to it!  Here's the card I made for her current Summer Fun challenge using it!

I colored the image using copic markers and prismacolor pencils.  I also picked up this cool new embossing folder for my cuttlebug from Michael's yesterday.  It's called pinking stitch.  The polka dot paper is from the paper studio's black & white pack.  The red and blue card stock is Bazzill basics.  While sorting through some of my papers I came across this fun typewriter alphabet paper from HOTP.  I'm pretty sure I've had it for a while.  I punched the letters out using my 3/4 inch punch!  I would have called it done there but I had a slight mishap with some glue and needed something to hide the spot it left.  Hmmmm....I'm thinking twine will do quite nicely to hide that!  LOL

Other challenges I've entered this card:

Digi Doodles Best-Summertime
One Stitch At A Time-Anything Goes

Putting On My Thinking Cap

I should be studying for my drivers test but I was having a little memory block so I decided to step away from it for a few and clear my head!  What's better to clear your head than paper and markers, I ask?!!  So I put my book down and headed to my computer to check out the current challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.  Awesome, it's an Anything Goes challenge (my favorite kind) so the next stop on my internet journey was over to check out Jen's current sketch challenge at I heart 2 stamp.  I was all set so I headed to my craft area (aka the dining room which has now become BECKY'S CRAFT SPACE, and cranked out this little number.  Hope you like it!  I used  Sassy Sally Sits In Wonder for my image choice.  She's so cute!

I colored the image using a combo of Copic markers (iSally) and Prismacolor pencils (background).  I used my Spellbinders circle and lacey circles dies for the main panel.  I used papers from Recollections, Bazzill, and the paper studio.  I could have stopped there, but if you know me, you know I love my  buttons and bakers twine so I added them to finish it off.

I'm also posting this for the following challenges:

Well now that I've had a nice crafty break, I think I'll get back to studying!  Y'all have a great day!  TTFN

It's Anything Goes-Bugaboo Style

Break out those Bugaboo images cause it's time for everyone's favorite challenge at Catch The Bug.  It's Anything Goes!

I chose Bugaboo's Flower Pocket for my card.

I added the sentiment to the pocket using my photo editing program.  I colored the image using a combination of copic markers and prismacolor pencils.  Theh papers are from my scrap pile but I'm pretty sure they are Recollections.  A scallop border, ribbon, some glossy accents on the flowers and a button put the finishing touches on this card.

Other challenges I've entered this card:

Now It's your turn.  You don't have to use a Bugaboo image to win but be sure to use a Bugaboo image if you want to  be eligible for the big prize of ten images.  If you don't have any, you can pick up the current free image from the shop.  While your there, take a look around.  Jodie's having a great sale for the month of July.

That's all for now!  Have a great day and I'll see you next time!  TTFN

Gardening Nut

Are you ready to go nuts for this weeks Freebie Friday image from Bugaboo Stamps?  It's part of the Nuts About set and it's awfully darn cute if you ask me.  I thought it was the perfect image for this flower easel card.

I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it and placed it on the panel with the sentiment.  The flower panels were cut using my Cricut and Mini Monograms cart.  The papers are light burlap from the paper studio and green gingham from recollections.  I created the inside sentiment using my computer and word.  Add some ribbon, buttons and twine and the die cutted lacey circle panel and this is the end result.

Other challenges I've entered this card in:

Hang In There

Happy Thursday!  It's been a good week with lots of time for crafting so I was able to make a card for this weeks Oldie But Goodie from Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose this fun Critter Balloon Elephant image because he's just so darn cute!  I used the black, white with just a splash of blue color combo at The Play Date Cafe for inspiration and the sketch challenge at The Pink Elephant.  What fun!!!

I colored the image using copic markers.  The papers are from the paper studios black &white pack.  Did a little die cutting using the cricut and oval and beaded oval spellbinders dies.  I added some glossy accents on the balloon, cloud and toes and then glittered the cloud.  I had these cute animal print gemstones from the paper studio that were just screaming "use me", so I did!  All  it needed was a ribbon and bow!

I've entered this card in the following challenges:
